Semaglutide Forever?

One year after withdrawal of once-weekly subcutaneous semaglutide 2.4 mg and lifestyle intervention, participants regained two-thirds of their prior weight loss, with similar changes in cardiometabolic variables. This is not to say that ozempic does not have its place in treatment as people are getting fantastic effects.  We have seen effects with decreased dietary intake secondary to feeling full and nauseated.  There is some question by the public regarding continuing semaglutide indefinitely.  This can be understood in our realm, as typically when BHRT is started, people will want to maintain treatment indefinitely given the overall benefits with mood, energy, sexual function, and improved metabolic health.
