Estrogen levels and Cardiovascular Mortality.

Increased cardiovascular mortality after early bilateral oophorectomy.  The goal of this study was to investigate the mortality associated with cardiovascular diseases and the effect of estrogen treatment in women who underwent unilateral or bilateral oophorectomy before menopause.  They studied the difference of replacing estrogen vs not replacing estrogen in a group of women who had their ovaries removed for a various number of reasons.  By removing the ovaries they induce menopause early and found a marked increase in cardiovascular events in those women not treated with estrogen replacement.

So, if BHRT can safely return your estrogen levels to a cardio-protective range, why would we want to avoid that for people as they tilt over the peri-menopausal line to menopause?  Not only can we assist with the plaguing symptoms of menopause but we can also help prevent cardiovascular events by replacing hormones since they decrease as we age. Let us guide you on the path to rejuvenation and wellness. Your journey to a personalized approach to optimize hormonal balance begins now.
