Hormone Molecules

These hormone molecules above are clearly NOT the same.  Although Premarin is often touted as “estrogen”, it has deleterious effects on the human body.  This is quite similar, if not worse for Provera, a progestin, which is a molecule that is similar but not identical to human progesterone.  Both provera and premarin have led people to believe that hormones can be detrimental and have been linked to blood clots, cardiovascular events, and even cancer.  THIS IS NOT THE CASE FOR ESTRADIOL AND PROGESTERONE; the human body makes these hormones internally and the biochemical structures of these compounded medications are recognized by the body as “self”.
